Discover the Petrochemical Downstream
The considerable
development in petrochemical industries in recent years, as well as
increasing growth in petrochemical products both in volume and variety,
have provided the platform and foundation for further investment
opportunities in petrochemical downstream industries. The private sector
investment in such industries will help them to be more competitive in
world market.
Therefore government
authorities and the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) greatly emphasize
assisting private investment in petrochemical downstream industries. In
this regard NPC established the “Petrochemical Downstream Industries
Department” (PDID) to support downstream industries by guiding, assisting
and attracting potential investors, to implement petrochemical downstream
projects to create added value and employment opportunities.
This department offers
consultative services to investors mainly in the private sector by
performing feasibility study on petrochemical downstream projects, supply
feedstock and utility requirements for projects that will be located in
Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (Bandar Imam), Pars Special
Economic/Energy Zone (Assaluyeh) or near existing petrochemical complexes,
also assists main under construction petrochemical downstream projects to
solve their problems.
Petrochemical Downstream
Industries Department has performed feasibility studies for 78 projects
during the last year, which 44 feasibility studies have been completed and
are offered to investors.
