| Iranians in Squash Courts
Dating back about 180 years, squash is a
sports field that demands ultimate concentration of chess and quick reflex of track &
field. Today more than 17 million players exercise the greatest activity and mobility that
squash requires in the least possible time. The reward of playing squash is a combination
of physical fitness and a challenging competition.
Although
50 years have passed since Iranians first played squash, but during the past 5 years this
sports field has experienced a remarkable growth. Today, the limited number of squash
courts in Iran can hardly meet the increasing enthusiasm of youths and the Islamic
Republic Squash Federation is heavily investing in this regard.
Measures
being currently taken for further promotion of squash in Iran include building of more
squash courts across the country and holding training courses for different age groups.
Housing
one of the countrys largest squash facilities, Enghelab Sports Complex announces its
readiness to hold training courses for players and coaches while staging national and
international camping with cooperation of Asian Squash Federation (ASF) and International
Squash Federation.
