Iran is by far one of the most stable countries in the region. Furthermore, the abundant natural resources such as gas, oil and minerals have given the country a unique status in terms of the requirements for profitable business activities. The ample infrastructure allows for efficient logistics of materials and manufactured goods. The road and rail networks join the mainland and seaports to production and consumption centers.

A well-developed telecom network provides access to local and industrial urban and rural areas. Labor force is cheap and with the skilled manpower locally available, the necessity to import know-how is reduced to the lowest possible level, which keeps the labor costs at minimum.

Especially through a local partner who knows the Iranian market and has full information about the state rules and regulations, foreign entrepreneurs will be no less than successful. Whether it be an agricultural program or a manufacturing project, careful consideration of all the aspects and consequences is crucial. Here, the significance of a consulting body on which you can depend becomes evident.

In the last four years since its establishment, the International Consultants and Contractors Association (ICCA) has proved to be a reliable and trustworthy source in aligning interested international enterprises with the Iranian business market and acting as a good liaison between Iranian and international partners.

ICCA comprises 94 member companies specialized in different sectors of engineering and consulting services. Many of them are already involved in immense development projects in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa.

ICCA collects information on development of business opportunities in the region and after the data is analyzed, available projects for each member, according to their field of work is recommended.

All through different stages of processing the tender, the Association supports its members.

A periodical is published containing project tender notices announced by international organizations. Also, analytical articles on the economic developments give readers a view on future prospects. Another comprehensive magazine will be published very soon. This will cover all the peripheral subjects of development business, engineering issues, comments on challenges and a special section for promotional items and advertisement.

In order to pave the way for a better understanding of the principles governing the international market, ICCA holds training courses on different subjects such as marketing, project management, legal aspects of contracts, etc.

On different occasions, the Association interacts with foreign missions to facilitate export of technical services. Permanent representation in foreign countries is also encouraged.

Competent and active representatives of ICCA in the region welcome partnership opportunities. In fact the Association is planning to recruit agents in the areas where it is not currently represented.

With respect to the structure, ICCA policies and instructions are defined by a board of directors who meet every two weeks.

In a three-floor building on Vali Asr Avenue in Tehran, a group of dynamic staff, organized in three departments namely International Affairs, Africa and CIS Region, and Research & Training monitor the marketing activities.

Aside from the main tasks, the Association organizes seminars and meetings upon the request of foreign missions in Tehran.

ICCA strongly hopes to work for the promotion of business and professional relations between Iranian contractors, consultants and their counterparts overseas.
