It's a New Day You go through the pleasure and pain of what may come between two springs. And then you set a table of seven items starting with “S”: Sumac, Sorb, Serkeh (Vinegar), Samanu (Wheat Extract), Sonbol (Hyacinth), Sekkeh (Coin) and Sabzeh (Greens). In observing this tradition, Iranians leave behind the “S” in sadness and sorrow. Spring is a season of rebirth, a season of renewal and a season of bloom.
