RENA Industrial Group Investment Co.

 

Rena Investment Company was established in 1976 with the main objective of investing in the country’s emerging automotive industry. After the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Rena Investment Company was taken over by the government-owned Industrial Development and Renovation Organization (IDRO), which began to use the company as investment and management arm for various industrial projects.

In 1995, Rena Investment Company was listed at the Tehran Stock Exchange. In recent years, Rena Investment Company has started to diversify its investment portfolio. Thus, today the company is not only active in Iran’s automotive sector, but also has investments in the country’s petrochemical, food and mining industry.

Rena Investment Co. has an issued share capital of IRR 453.6 billion. The overview of investment portfolio at Dec. 11th, 2001 is as follows:
