Production of high-quality medical devices in a country
that has experienced a war and economic sanctions is like building pieces of life. Today,
in the suburbs of Tehran there lies a medical devices factory called SUPA. Given the
circumstances under which SUPA Medical Devices emerged and grew, we like to put it next to
exceptional. What follows is a report on establishment and development of SUPA plus the
statements of its president. As the saying goes, it is the story of blood, sweat and
tears.
Giving Life at Home: The idea behind SUPA’s establishment was production of
high-quality, low-cost medical devices at home. Inspired by such vision, a small group of
professional surgeons founded SUPA in early 1990. While many industrial plants run with
ambition of higher profitability, SUPA runs with the ambition of higher quality of life
for all.
Passion for Excellence: Medical products can make the difference between life and death.
Therefore, at SUPA Medical Devices, error detection has been replaced by error prevention.
Quality goes above all in SUPA not only in pursuit of discipline, but also in pursuit of a
passion for excellence. The result of this approach has been winning credit among
internationally-reputable auditing bodies to receive certificates of Total Quality
Management (TQM), ISO 9001 and CE Marking.
The most recent honor of SUPA – CE Marking – was
awarded by the renowned British Standards Institution (BSI). To present the certificate
and congratulate SUPA on this accomplishment, the then British Ambassador to Iran Nicholas
W. Browne personally appeared in SUPA Factory.
SUPA is honored that its performance is supported by certificates of Total
Quality Management (TQM), ISO 9001 and Conformity European (CE Marking). |
