Pars Tire Co.

Rewarded for Respecting Consumer Rights

Pars Tire Company (PTC) has enhanced its quality and diversified its production range and by doing so has proven it values and respects the rights and interests of consumers as a principle. This is why Minister of Commerce, Mohammad Shariatmadari, awarded Mahmoud Ghaeli, Managing Director of Pars Tire Company, the certificate of "Respect for Consumer Rights".

While receiving the award Ghaeli stated that PTC is one of Iran’s major tire producers and in its 25 years of experience has been able to claim 40% of Iran’s heavy tire market. PTC has taken significant steps for the advancement of the tire industry by enhancing quality, introducing new technologies, achieving exports and respecting the rights and interests of consumers. PTC has received the International Standards Organization’s certificates of ISO 9002 and ISO 14001 and is working towards ISO/TS 16949 (2000). This year PTC was also awarded for its respect and support for the rights and interests of consumers.

Ghaeli continued to explain the successful marketing of PTC’s products and said that our Pirouzi Heavy Tire enjoys unprecedented demand not only in Iran, but in all the countries it is exported to and the main reason for this is PTC’s high quality standards. We are currently exporting to Turkey, Syria, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Africa and Central Asia. PTC is a rare example of a company that has increased its exports for the past four years. PTC has consistently enhanced its quality and has boosted its exports because we believe economic sustainability and health is only possible through exports. In 1999 we were recognized as a model exporting company and were awarded accordingly.

Ghaeli believes that entry into the world trade market is an indisputable necessity. Sooner or later Iran must join this market and even now some of our activities are related to world trade. When our products are exported and are confronted by similar foreign products, with which they must compete in markets beyond the borders of Iran, we realize that world trade really does effect us. The fact is many of our industries, including our tire industries, are prone to damage when entering the global market, but with foundation building and enhancing resistance and resolve we can pass this crisis unscathed. Active and effective presence as a member of the global market depends on a variety of factors, or to be more precise, a variety of varying factors. The government has a pivotal role to play in stabilizing these factors.

When Ghaeli was asked how PTC achieved these successful levels of customer satisfaction we said it is natural to become customer-orientated when there is an offer increase in a competitive environment. To have sale consistency in your company or production unit it is critical that you pay attention to your customers’ interests in regards to quality, costs and after sale services. And PTC has centered its main policies on these very principles.
