Rasoulof Takes over Eghtesad Novin Bank

Private banks provide better conditions for interaction with people, mostly due to the reduced bureaucracy. The new managing director of Eghtesad Novin Bank, Jalal Rasoulof said, "We are seeking a model to protect interests of stockholders as well as national interests while providing modern and efficient services through the banking system in view of requirements of bank customers."

He mentioned improving active services of the bank; diversification of services, especially with regard to consumption; providing resources for job creation; as well as implementing projects which attach more significance to customers, to be his main goals as managing director of Eghtesad Novin Bank.

Referring to reduction of the profit rate of bank facilities, Rasoulof stated that private banks have decided to cut the profit rate of their facilities to realize goals of the Fourth Economic Development Plan and Eghtesad Novin Bank will soon decide about cutting down profit rate of its facilities.

Jalal Rasoulof, the successful former managing director of Bank Keshavarzi (Agriculture Bank), who handed in his resignation after Mohammad Reza Eskandari came to Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, and then requested retirement, finally reached an agreement with stockholders of Eghtesad Novin Bank and became managing director of the first private bank of Iran.

During his eight-year tenure as managing director of Bank Keshavarzi, Rasoulof turned the nearly bankrupt bank into a successful one both at domestic and international levels. Now, everybody is waiting to see whether Rasoulof can repeat that successful record in Eghtesad Novin Bank.
