A brief look at Sepehr Energy Co.

By taking the position of oil and Petrochemical industry into consideration, the Bank Saderat of Iran have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ministry of oil of Islamic Republic of Iran with the purpose of investing and financing oil, gas and petrochemical projects through ownership, cooperation and buyback contracts.

In accordance with this (MOU), in order to succeed  that target, Bank Saderat of Iran have established Sepehr Energy Corporation which was registered under No. 373450 on April 2010, for financing and making investments on oil, gas and petrochemical projects.

The main approach of Sepehr Energy Corporation to attain its goals and objectives is being profited from effective experiences of its senior managers and directors and also senior planners who have been a group of founders and developers of iranian oil industries.

The main concentration of this corporation is making investments and implementation of the mega projects of oil/gas and petrochemical industry. In another word performing activities in producing all kinds of upstream, mid-stream and downstream products and of those in which derived from oil and oil products and natural gas and other raw materials.

This company from the starting day is implementing a few projects in different sectors of upstream and downstream industries of oil/gas and petrochemical projects which, briefly, are as the followings:

Parsian Sepehr Refinery Project

  • Lactation: Mohr (Fars province) & Assaluyeh (Bushehr province)

  • Area: 53 hectare

  • Starting Date: 2010

  • Expected Production Date: 2015

  • Investment: 770 MM USD

  • Products (KT/Year) : Methane (16201), Ethane (1321), Propane (632), Butane (481), Condensate (1048)                                   

  • Feed Stock: Natural Gas (83.4 MM m^3 / Year)

  • Physical progress: 3, 91%

1st Sepehr Methanol Project (Sabalan)

  • Location: South Pars Special Economy/Energy Zone (phase 2)

  • Area: 7 hectares

  • Starting Date: 2012

  • Expected Production Date: 2015

  • Investment: 480 MM USD

  • Product: Methanol (16520 KT/Year)                              

  • Feed Stock (MM m^3 / Year): Natural Gas (1500), Oxygen (700)

  • Physical progress: 16,10%

2nd Sepehr Methanol Project (Dena)

  • Location: South Pars Special Economy/Energy Zone (phase 2)

  • Area: 7 hectares

  • Starting Date: 2011

  • Expected Production Date: 2015

  • Investment: 480 MM USD

  • Product: Methanol (16520 KT/Year)

  • Feed Stock (MM m^3 / Year): Natural Gas (1500), Oxygen (700)

  • Physical progress: 16,10%

3rd Sepehr Siraf Methanol Project (Siraf)

  • Location: Daiyer (Bushehr province)

  • Area: 6.5 hectares

  • Start Date: 2011

  • Expected Production Date: 2015

  • Investment: 600 MM USD

  • Product: Methanol (16520 KT/Year)

  • Feed Stock (MM m^3/Year): Natural Gas (1537), Oxygen (570)

  • Physical progress: 9%

Genaveh Dashtestan Olefin Project

  • Location: Genaveh  & Dashtestan (Bushehr province)

  • Area: 7 hectares

  • Starting Date: 2012

  • Expected  Production Date: 2015

  • Investment: 1600 MM USD

  • Products (KT/Year): Ethylene (161), MEG (500), DEG (51), TEG (2), C3+ (44)

  • Feed Stock: Ethane (650 KT / Year)

  • Physical progress: 1, 24%

2nd Bid Boland Gas Refinery Project

  • Location: Behbahan (Khuzestan province)

  • Area: 243.7  hectares

  • Starting Date: 2010

  • Expected Production Date:  2015

  • Investment: 2735 MM USD

  • Products (KT/Year): Light Methane Gas (10340), Ethane (1496), Propane (1005), Butane (490), Condensate (394)

  • Feed Stock (MM ft^3 / Year): Sour Natural Gas (1700), Sweet Natural Gas (300)

  • Physical progress: 21, 60%

Dehloran Sepehr Olefin Project

  • Location: Dehloran (Ilam province)

  • Area: 200 Hectares

  • Starting Date: 2012

  • Expected Production Date: 2017

  • Investment: 1080 MM USD

  • Products (KT / Year): Ethylene (144), Propylene (72.5), Hydrogen (6.1), HDPE (300), Fuel Oil (13.4), Pyrolizgasoline (56.7) 

  • Feed Stock: C2+ (773 KT/ Year)

  • Physical progress: 5,2%

Lavan Gas Field Development Project

  • Location: Lavan Island

  • Area: 300 hectares

  • Starting Date: 2012

  • Expected production Date: 2017

  • Investment: 1126 MM USD

  • Products (KT/Year): Methane (4583), Ethane (405), Propane (161), Butane (111), Condensate (298)

  • Feed Stock: Rich Sour Natural Gas (750 MM ft^3 / Year)

Lavan Ammonia & Urea Project (8th Ammonia & Urea)

  • Location: South Pars Special Economy/Energy Zone (phase 2)

  • Area: 24.85 hectares

  • Start Date: 2012

  • Expected Production Date: 2016

  • Investment: 545 MM USD

  • Product (KT / Year): Ammonia (75), Urea (1075)

  • Feed Stock : Methane (760 MM m^3 / Year)

  • Physical progress: 0%

Drag Reducing Agent Plant (DRA)

  • Location: Aras commercial and industrial free zone

  • Area: 2.0231 hectares

  • Start Date: 2011

  • Expected Production Date: 2013

  • Investment: 14 MM USD

  • Product: DRA (3 MM Liter / Year)

  • Feed Stock (Ton/Year) : Monomer First Alpha Olefin (850), Monomer First Alpha Olefin (370)  

  • Physical progress: 16.86%

Also up industries of Lavan Petrochemical Co. with different Petrochemical Products including Methanol, Ammonia, Urea, Olefin and downstream petrochemical products

Active Participation in 10th (IPF)

Sepehr Energy Corporation actively participated in 10th International Petrochemical Forum. Seyyed Mohsen Tasalloti, managing director of Sepehr Energy Corporation, as a key speaker, gave a speech on "Privatization in Petrochemical Industry". In this speech he expressed the main advantages and disadvantages of privatization in petrochemical industry and finally he mentioned the importance of projects which are being implemented by his corporation.

This important forum was held with presence of representative of 36 countries and with participation of all top managers and main involved entities of petrochemical industry. The 10th IPF was ended on May 14th, 2013.
