Pars Khodro was established in 1956 as a manufacturing-commercial company active in the assembly of Jeep vehicles. The company has since been able to produce a range of two and four-wheel drive automobiles in models including Jeep, station wagon, sedan, hatchback and pickup.
Having devised its strategies based on productivity indicators, Pars Khodro is progressing at a faster pace toward its short and long-term objectives. Pars Khodro aims to achieve international standards of automobile manufacturing, concentrate on quality, diversify products and services, increase its market share, achieve a forex balance and produce economical vehicles. To accomplish these in line with the policies of the Ministry of Industries and IDRO, Pars Khodro has development plans for products, research & development, systems, human resources, quality, productivity, market and after-sales services.
By implementing new projects, Pars Khodro has been able to increase production capacity of Sepand, Nissan Patrol and Jeep Sahra vehicles from 22,000 to 50,000 in the past two years and this figure is expected to grow two fold in the next year.
Pars Khodro’s latest assembly line, commissioned at a cost of 50 billion rials, was recently inaugurated in a ceremony by the minister of industries who encouraged the auto manufacturers to attach equal importance to quality and quantity of products and produce vehicles after considering status of the domestic market.
Speaking at the ceremony, Pars Khodro managing director Fazili referred to valuable endeavors of Pars Khodro designers and engineers in the recent years and expressed his concern over the import of automobiles. He pointed to the export of 500 Jeeps to Syria and installation of a Sepand assembly line in Africa as some overseas activities of Pars Khodro. He concluded by giving news of a new vehicle to be presented by Pars Khodro.
