Special Report: South Pars Phases 9 & 10

Oil Industries’ Engineering & Construction (OIEC)

OIEC, which is in fact the parent company and founder of the group, was established in 1987 with the mandate of acquiring technology and know-how of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. Currently its major shareholder is the Oil Pension fund Investment Company (OPIC). However OIEC is registered as a private joint stock company and accordingly is operated as such.

Since its inception over 20 years ago, OIEC has executed over 120 projects of diverse disciplines and geographical locations. In 1998 through NGL 1200/1300 project, OIEC gained its first experience as a general contractor in charge of an EPC contract. This trend continues to date with active presence in South Pars gas field development projects.
